Virginia’s Groh Gets Another Year
November 27, 2007 |
UVA coach Al Groh got a contract extension through 2011, adding a year to his current deal. The team’s success this year certainly played into the university’s decision, with the Cavaliers finishing 9-3 and coming just short of playing for the ACC title.
Groh is 51-33 since taking over for the Wahoos in 2001. The team’s surprising year helped him place 41st in our rankings with a 180.3.
