Tuberville and Auburn Agree on Extension
November 28, 2007 |
Auburn officials and Tommy Tuberville have agreed in principle on a contract extension that will keep the coach locked up through 2014. They’re still working out all the details, but they’re confident everything will work out.
Tuberville was rumored to be a target of Texas A&M, but the Aggies filled that position yesterday with former Green Bay coach Mike Sherman. This extension comes in a down year for Tuberville where he only placed 80th in our rankings. Regardless, he’s a proven SEC winner, leading the Tigers to an SEC Championship and perfect season in 2004. Congrats Tommy.
