Texas Tech’s Mike Leach Fined $10,000 For Ripping Officials

Texas Tech coach Mike Leach was fined $10,000 by the Big XII for his criticism of the officiating in Saturday’s loss to Texas. Leach complained about the instant replay system, the fact that one of the officials in the game was from Austin, TX (where the University of Texas is), and about the officiating in general.
To be honest, it wasn’t even that good of a rant. It didn’t have any of the bravado of Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy ripping a newspaper report earlier this year (”Come after me! I’m a man! I’m 40!”). You can hear all of Leach’s comments in this video:
