Indiana Drops Lynch’s Interim Tag
November 28, 2007 |
Interim Indiana coach Bill Lynch led the team to their most successful regular season since 1993. As a reward the school dropped the interim tag and gave him a four-year contract worth an estimated $750k per year.
Lynch got the interim job after former coach Terry Hoeppner died of a brain tumor. He was able to rally the team around their fallen coach and lead them to a 7-5 record, including a win over rival Purdue. Perhaps more important, Lynch ranked #43 in our rankings.
Congrats Bill!
