Frachione Beats Texas, Calls it Quits
November 23, 2007 |
Embattled Texas A&M coach Dennis Franchione lead his team to a huge upset over rival Texas, then got the hell out of Dodge. Franchione resigned immediately after the Aggies’ season-ending 38-30 win over the Longhorns.
Coach Fran had been in hot water with the university for running a personal website where he charged university donors over $1,000 in subscription fees and gave them inside information on recruiting. In case you don’t know, that’s an NCAA no-no.
