Doba and Washington State Agree to Part Ways
November 26, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Four straight bowl-less seasons spelled the end of Washington State’s Bill Doba. Doba announced today that he will not return as the Cougars’ coach next season, in what he called a mutual decision.
In five seasons Doba led Wazzu to a 30-29 record, but managed to go 3-2 against arch-rival Washington in the Apple Cup. His first season his team went 10-2 and beat Texas in the Holiday Bowl. This year wasn’t so good however, with the Cougars going 5-7.
Doba ranked #58 in our rankings, scoring a reasonable 125.98.
