Colorado State’s Lubick to Retire
November 26, 2007 |
Colorado State football coach Sonny Lubick is negotiating his retirement with school officials. Lubick is looking to stay with the team in some capacity within the athletic department.
This kind of comes out of left field. Lubick is well-liked and almost universally respected. Nobody’s been calling for his head, and there haven’t been rumblings from within the school about ousting him. It appears he actually just doesn’t want to coach anymore. Crazy concept…
The Rams struggled under Lubcik this year, going 3-9. This led to Lubick being ranked a disappointing 88th in our rankings.
