Briles Leaves Houston for Baylor
November 28, 2007 |
Houston head coach Art Briles left the Cougars to become the new head coach at Baylor. Briles went 34-28 with Houston, his first head coaching job. Prior to his stint with the Cougars he served as running backs coach under Mike Leach at Texas Tech.
Briles takes over a Baylor team that just plain sucks. They’ve had 12 straight losing seasons, gone 13-43 in Big XII play since 1996, and has never won more than three Big XII games in a season. It’s safe to say ol’ Art has his hands full. It seems like he might be up for the challenge though, since he ranks #32 in our rankings. Good luck Art!
