A Wacky Day in College Football Coaching

Ok, now that we’ve all had a chance to catch our breath, let’s recap what’s gone on today:
- Texas A&M hired Mike Sherman
- Bill Doba left Washington State
- Colorado State’s Sonny Lubick started looking into retirement
- Joe Novak quit at NIU
- Houston Nutt left Arkansas
- Georgia Tech fired Chan Gailey
- Jim Bower resigned from Southern Miss under pressure
- Duke fired Ted Roof
That makes at least 12 coaching changes so far this year, and the season’s not even over. Crazy.
